According to a report from Football.London, AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie could be an option for West Ham, but he might end up being too expensive for the east London outfit.
The Hammers are in desperate need of more dynamism in the middle of the park. Mark Noble is not getting any younger and Declan Rice needs more competition and support.
The problem for West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is that the board are unlikely to provide him with substantial funds in January.
And the Chilean might have to wait until the summer before he can adequately bolster his ranks.
Football.London claims that Franck Kessie of AC Milan could be an options for them.
The Italian giants value the 22-year-old Ivorian at around €40 million (£35 million), however, according to Calcio Mercato.
West Ham Journalist, Deven Naja: “Kessie is an absolute warrior. He is strong, tenacious in the tackle and has an engine that is the envy of many of his fellow pros.”
The Ivory Coast international is a powerhouse midfielder and he is exactly the kind of player West Ham is needing.
And if the Hammers board have real ambition, they should back Pellegrini in January by giving him the funds needed to bring Kessie to east London.
