A week ago, various sources such as the very credible Gianluca Di Marzio and Alfredo Pedulla, said that Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira would be open to a transfer back to Italy after voicing the various grievances he had after his move to North London in an interview while on international duty for the Uruguayan National Football Team. They stated that he had given the ‘green light’ for the transfer to go through. Milan offered a formula of a 2 year loan with an obligation to buy in a package that exceeded €40m. However, Arsenal firmly rejected this offer as they were determined to keep their young midfielder. Over the last few days, the interest seems to have cooled off as Milan look at different options in an effort to strengthen their midfield. However, the transfer window has just opened and there is ample time to see further twists and turns in this transfer saga.

The Rossoneri’s new-look management had a meeting with Real Madrid directors in an effort to introduce the new additions to the team. However, rumours surfaced of players being discussed: such as midfielder Dani Ceballos. Zinedine Zidane has reportedly told the youngster he is free to leave after the return of the French maestro to the helm of the Bernabeu. He is immensely talented, and has consistently put in great performances for Madrid and is said to be one of Florentino Perez’s favourite players at the club. His vision and mobility set him apart from other young midfielders, aided by his intelligence and ability to spot runs and open the game up for his team. He would reportedly command a hefty fee of €45m but Milan may be able to lower this fee, with spread out payments, or a loan with option to buy formula. After impressing for the recent Under-21 victors Spain in the European Championship tournament in Italy, Milan will want to wrap up this deal as soon as possible as he is beginning to attract attention once again.

Supposedly, a fee has already been agreed between the Spanish giants and Milan to see the transfer of Theo Hernandez for around €20m. The immensely quick, and talented 21-year old Frenchman is expected to attend a medical in Milan in the coming days, after the left-back met AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini in Ibiza last week, and was fully convinced of the Milan project by the legend. He turned down a concrete offer from Bayer Leverkusen to come to Lombardy and he will certainly help il Diavolo in the defensive department. This deal looks certain to be completed very soon and Milan fans should be excited about Hernandez’s arrival at the San Siro.

Hoffenheim striker Andrej Kramaric has reportedly become a target for AC Milan heading in to the 2019/20 season. AC Milan Sporting Director Frédéric Massara is supposedly searching for a supporting striker to sit next to Krzysztof Piatek in the 4-3-1-2 formation of Marco Giampaolo. Kramaric is seen to be perfect for this role, and Sky Italia reported that Milan opened talks with the player’s entourage two weeks ago, but not much has been heard since. The Croatian national would offer experience and technical ability up front for the Rossoneri, and has scored 33 goals in the past two seasons for the German club. He would be a tremendous signing, and would command a large fee of around €30m.
