Tiago Djalò: An exciting prospect!

Milan is next to make official the move of Tiago Djalò during this week, in fact according to Di Marzio “Milan and Sporting Clube, after days of negotiation, have found the final agreement. The 2000 class central back is expected in Italy during this week to sign his contract. The Portuguese club obtained a clause that will prevent Milan from selling Djalò to Porto and Benfica (Sporting’s rivals)”.

He is a young man of great perspective on which Milan for some time followed his performances, but also Lazio and the two teams of Manchester were interested in the player. His contract was expiring, but Milan wanted it immediately with the intention of aggregating him at first to the Primavera.

Tiago Djalò is a central defender with a height of 1.90 meters and a preference for the right foot, who has a good base technique, in fact he has made assists making long passes, setting game starting from the defense and creating occasions for the attack. Additionally he is very fast, anticipates opponents well and has a striking physical strength. All this with a height of 1.90 meters, its quite impressive.

Tiago has played 20 games with the U23 Sporting CP squad so far in this first part of the season, collecting 1 goal and 1 assist. Also he collected 9 yellow cards and an expulsion due to yellow card accumulation. This is one of the points he needs to improve, to be more effective in the defensive phase avoiding warnings.

Moreover for the national team, Tiago Djalò debuted in the U17 selection of Portugal at the age of 16, accumulating 14 presences. Then he played 3 games and scored 1 goal for the U18 national team and recently he played one game for the U19 national team. Then, Tiago has a decent experience with the national team that helped him improving as an exciting center back.

In conclusion, after having analyzed Tiago’s performances, I can assure you that this guy has a great potential and can become an interesting central defender, since there was interest in him by clubs like Lazio, Man City and United this means he’s special. He reminds me of Kalidou Koulibaly in the way that he plays and his movements. We, the team of acmilanswiss, wish Tiago Djalò good luck in his new adventure with our glorius Milan, he made the right choice coming to our team.
